About the event

Be part of an inspiring 2-day event fully focused on the 8ra initiative and its vital role in developing Europe's next generation cloud infrastructure and services.

Day 1: 19 March - IPCEI CIS General Assembly (invitation only)

This closed-door session is reserved for IPCEI CIS partners, European Commission representatives and Member States. Participants will review IPCEI CIS progress, share key updates, and discuss the strategic roadmap for IPCEI initiatives. The day concludes with a fun dinner providing the perfect opportunity to network, connect, and strengthen collaborations across the IPCEI community

Please note: attendance is expected from all IPCEI CIS partners.

Day 2: 20 March - 8ra Open Conference

The second day opens the summit to a broader audience. On this day we welcome not only IPCEI CIS participants but also their partners, cloud providers and other stakeholders from across Europe to explore the potential of the 8ra initiative. Through plenary sessions, project pitches from companies and interactive workshops, the conference highlights how the 8ra initiative shapes the multi-provider cloud edge continuumin Europe. The event is supported by CISERO, a CSA providing exploitation and dissemination activities for IPCEI-CIS.

In the plenary session, high-level representatives from the private and public sector will address the need for strengthening our European competitiveness when it comes to cloud. Break-out sessions will be led by experts from EU cloud companies working on innovation and autonomy, policy makers from various members states and the European Commission.

Participants will:

• explore the latest IPCEI CIS project developments;
• learn how to engage and contribute to the 8ra initiative;
• learn about exploitation support provided by CISERO;
• engage with policy makers on the way forward for the EU;
• network to build a European cloud community.
